It's almost Halloween so I turned our traditional pumpkin dog treat recipe into spooky mummies to celebrate the season!
Feel free to use this recipe any time to make into any kind of shape. It is one of my dog's absolute favorites and a best seller when we had the dog bakery.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Set out cream cheese and allow it to reach room temperature.
1/2 Cup of Pumpkin (canned and make sure it isn't Pumpkin Pie Mix)
2 TBSP of Oil (I use olive oil)
4 TBSP of Water
4-5 TBSP of Honey
2 TSP of Cinnamon
4 Cup of Flour (I have used all kind of flour, garbanzo, barley, rice, but wheat flour this time)
Mixes best with a dough hook or flat beater mixer. Otherwise the dough will clog up your hand mixer. It is a sticky dough. A Kitchen-aid or similar with a dough hook is ideal and what we use. We also use a Bosch mixer with a bread hook.
Grease a kitchen surface with oil in order to roll out the dough once well mixed. You will also need to oil your rolling pin because of the stickiness of this dough.
Roll out your dough until it is about 1/2 inch in thickness.
Choose your shape, a little "mummy" in my case, to push out the dough with.
Place your treats on a greased baking pan and cook for 6 minutes.
Then take out of the oven and flip them, return to cook again for another 6 minutes.
Remove from the pan and allow them to cool.
Place the cream cheese into a zip-loc bag and squeeze it to one corner of the bag. Then make a small cut in the corner of the bag so that you can squeeze the cream cheese out of the corner onto your "mummy" in various directions to imitate the mummy's wrapping.
Refrigerate after cooking and decorating.
